Tryst

Tryst

Succumbed to starlight rendezvous,
Camouflaged in thorns, me and you.
Enlaced in secret romantic flare,
Tempest tempt two lovers despair.

Heartbeats skip eclipsed by guilt,
Consumed by passions as old roses wilt.
Petals depart and drift away,
Dancing chest to breast in sway.

Entwined in rhythm in darkened loom,
Naked flesh beneath crescent moon.
Enthralled in the moment, seductively paced,
Commitments and promise briefly erased.

Brazen midst dusk, vibrant and free,
Wantonly we suffer, too blind to see.
Our trysts must end unless we plunder,
Our midnight meet creates asunder.
