Two Little Flowers - (to the one i love)

THE TWO LITTLE FLOWERS
There once was a flower, that grew all alone,
And a lovely young flower was she,
Albeit, quite smallâŚnot yet full grown,
Yet she happily grew , and was free.
Time went by, and the little flower stood,
Unchanged by the years that had flown,
Her petals, though pretty,..were not all they could be,
And her stemâŚ.it was never full grown.
The one fateful day, she was taken,
Uprooted from all that she knew,
Then placed in a whole, brand new garden,
Where many more pretty flowers grew.
Carefully, as not to break her,
She was planted and watered with care,
Then she looked round and noticed, that right by her side,
Grew a flower, beyond all compare.
Her petals were full, and her colours were bright,
She was truly a sight to behold,
What they didnât know then..but would soon come to see,
Was their fate was about to unfold.
Beside this new flower, The little one bloomed!
She grew and she flourished at speed,
It seemed all her life..sheâd been in the wrong place!
This new flower was all that sheâd need.
The seasons would change, from sunshine to rain,
Though the gales blew and tested their faith,
The two little flowers dug their roots in so deep,
And entwined themâŚto keep them both safe.
The garden would change, flowers came and they went,
Some weeds even tried to consume,
But these two little flowers stood the test, side by side,
Their petals always in full bloom.
For no matter the weather, no matter how long,
They had found in each other a âheartâ
They both had one half, now joined up as one,
And nothing could tear that apart.
We may not be flowers, but this is my tale,
And I want you to know this is true,
If I could pick any flowerâŚin ANY darn field,
It would always..forever..be YOUÂ
