Unconditional Love

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Unconditional Love
I loved you when I had you
And when you touched my eyes
I couldn't help but smile I had to
In between the cries
Then I got to hold youĀ
And sing you lullabiesĀ
I thought of the things we would go through
Mommy's little guy
When I heard you talk
I think my heart skipped a beat
Then I saw you walk
Stumbling on your feet
Mumbling something funny
Laughing your heart away
Then you called me mommy
And changed my life that day
When I put you on the school bus
I cried the first few times
Then I thought of the two of us
And smiled away the cries
Then I watched you grow and grow
This little boy of mine
Soon you were a beau I know
Right behind my eyes
Now you are man
But still my boy to me
I will love you with all I can
Till I no longer be
And when I am gone
Don't think my love goes away
It will travel on
Getting stronger every day
