Unsaid Words

Its something I could never say out loud,
Mostly because I wouldn’t know how.
I know you can see it on my face
That I’m out of sorts, out of place.
So when you see me get upset
Know that I lie to you with regret.
The truth is...
I hate it when you over drink
Whiskey and beer,
You forget to think.
You’re angry, you’re mean
Obnoxious and loud,
And when morning comes round
Those memories were drowned.
The truth is...
I hate it when you come over high
Your eyes are heavy
Your voice is dry.
You fall asleep in my bed
Before we even get to talk
I know you better that I know myself
And I feel you know the same
You have to see it in my actions,
You must hear it in my voice
On some unconscious level you must know.
So please hear this silent plea.
