Unseen Monsters

Unseen Monsters

The monsters you should fear the most
Are the ones that you can’t see
The ones who blend into society
And look like you or me
The highly respected judge
Stern in the courtroom sat
Or stood in a sea of demons
Wearing his white pointy hat
The one sat in the White House
‘Tweeting’ behind the door
Reaching for the big red button
Eager to start a war
The humble hardworking teacher
With a hood pulled over his head
Drops the guillotine with precision
Then sleeps soundly in his bed
A powerful military leader
Swaying his sea of clones
Threatening chemical warfare
With his ominous army of drones
The monsters you should fear the most
Are the ones that you can’t see
The ones who blend into society
And look like you or me

Halo Pain

Excellent message, and a great poem

I just recently wrote a poem addressing this same topic, Jayne. It's titled, 'The Devil's Skin.'
When at the ripe young age of five my daughter asked me the question; "Daddy, are monsters real?" I told her, 'Yes, sweetheart, and they look just like you and me."
Great poem, important topic.
