UPON CONCEPTION...

That very split second
When it all began
What would I become...
Woman or man?
With a cast of millions, ready to perform
Eager for the prize...
Human in form.
A frenzied fight to fertilize...
An ovum, an egg, tiny in size.
Come one, cum all, they all heard the message,
Yet only the strongest, had rite of passage.
That very split second, love did explode,
Sending forth his men, by the bucket load.
Then one made it through..!
Took some much needed rest,
Without any question...This seed was the best!
My life was then granted
This conception was planned
As fate would have it...
I was born a woman.
That very split second
As I then became me
I give recognition
For you, planting my seed.

So Carey, I'm sitting here trying to de-brief my brain cells (small business course) and first thing I see is this gem... predestination? maybe, but certainly good fortune on my part...this one is funny and intelligent and goes well with a cold Guiness extra stout (st. James gate Dublin) just sayin...loved everything about it, great rhyming and poetic conception; pardon the pun...pure poetry perfectly presented...your sense of humour and talents as a poet are un-parallel...def. favoring this...cheers
