Poem -

Vaccination

Imagine for a moment that life had a vaccine
Imagine for a moment life could be painless
Imagine for a moment the perfect world
Imagine for a moment the opposite.

But we don’t
For every day life constricts that dream
For every day concerns limit that factor
For every day pains cause that distraction, that fall, that deacent.

In this world, normality does disorder
Behaviour trends like items to a hoarder
But vaccine does keep safe what the body can’t
Belittling body defence in a chant

For in this society the young act normal
For in this society the construct of it is strong
People fight to fit in or act like lambs set for slaughter.
People excrete their beliefs, their personalities for order

You may say that this is unnecessary
That censorship is meaningless
True colours come out eventually
But the source will bleach them clean.

Imagine for a moment that life had a vaccine
Imagine for a moment life could be painless
Imagine for a moment the perfect world
Imagine for a moment the opposite.

But you won’t
For if you imagine it, you wish to conform to it
You wish to suppress
You wish to be suppressed
But you don’t
But you do
You fight and surrender in a blunder like a stale war

For a perfect world is inept of people
For a perfect word is rejected by the people
For a perfect world would ruin people
For a perfect world is not for people

Imagine for a moment life had a vaccine, would you take it?
