Pin ones heart on sleeve
Another practiced to deceive
No adoration left to share
Twas never heartfelt there
Godsmacked final blow
Tears shan't ever show
Empty promises in vain
Only echoes remain
Haunted by chiffon ghost
Nary trait to boast
Church bells distant ring
Caged bird cannot sing
Escape from abuse
Pain lends no excuse
Absent tis battered wife
Discord reigns in afterlife
