Venomous

Sycophantic, glide from forked tongue,
Coated with honey and romance sung.
But I see thine serpent's glean,
Mannerisms but coyly serene.
 
Thou hath no mercy to spare,
Mine vulnerability canst compare.
Tears descend like melancholy rain,
Hearts amassed compose a lover's chain.
 
Teardrops linked from a broken heart
A chink resides in the loneliest part.
Conquering all with savoir faire,
Thou void of all love to share.
 
Come hither thou serpent beguiling,
Poison spills from sweet lips asmiling
Capture this trinket for thine obsession,
Fear not, mine hardened rejection.
 
Coiling prepared to strike,
Receiving thou ardor bite.
I be one of the many jewels,
Crowning gem of ardent fools.
