Vision

I... I never thought I'd make it this far.

All my life, I've never been able to imagine what it must be like to grow old, have a brood of your own, and pass into nothing with the quiet dignity of being a loved one.

I've always thought I'd go young. Tragic, dramatic, only for myself.

I haven't found the point, becoming increasingly aware of how far I've been left behind.

The distance grows greater each time I open my eyes.
