Waiting

Can you see me; am I hidden from your sight?
Can you hear me, as I call out your name?
Why do you keep walking away?
I’m standing right in front of you
Your eyes are glazed, unknowing to what is around you
You keep on walking through this never ending fog
Every time I reached out to you, I feel a solid wall
No cracks, no seams to allow me one reach, one touch of your cheek
It’s keeping me from you and you from me
I watch as you walk on following an invisible path
But while you search for that light, I wait here from the side lines
I’ll wait until you find that beautiful light, where I’ll wait for you to find
I’ll wait in the sky, drifting amongst the clouds
I’ll wait on a mountain, sitting upon the highest ridge
I’ll wait everywhere, anywhere, so that I’ll be waiting there when you find me
Follow your soul; listen to the world around you
It will guide you on this journey
Follow your heart and never stop listening
Inside you there is a light that will never stop shining
But for now I’ll wait for you on the other side of that light
Where ever you may find it
