War Crimes

War Crimes

When you thought it couldnā€™t get any worse.
RAT TAT TAT TAT

Then walking down, the street.
RAT TAT TAT TAT

And feeling so alone.
But,

Iā€™ve given up reasoning why Iā€™m still believing that Iā€™m falling through blue skies.
Maybe Iā€™m arguing,
Maybe Iā€™m dealing with,
All of the questions of why.

Me?!
RAT TAT TAT TAT

The clouds look so heavy,
I doubt they could carry me,
I doubt they would even try.

Maybe Iā€™m vio-lent,
Maybe Iā€™m high on it,
But I canā€™t even hurt a fly.
RAT TAT TAT TAT

And if these feelings are so immature,
If this pain is in vain.
And if these nightmares,
mean nothing really at all.

Then I wish to sleep forever.
RAT TAT TAT TAT
ā€¦

In the arms of your embrace.
RAT TAT TAT TAT
ā€¦

RAT TAT TAT TAT

None of us should ever be in this position of war, we are all the innocent ones no matter where we are and who we are. The people behind it all are sitting comfy on their thrones. In this day and age we have still learnt nothing. Very emotional indeed. šŸŒ¹

I agree. Yet it's hard to be empathic when you can't even fix your own problems. Thanks for your kind words, really they mean a lot to me~

Thank you so much, really being read aloud is how I intended it to be displayed. You made me find an error in my write though so it should read a lot better now šŸ˜† Thank you for the follow also, I'll reciprocate~

Max, one from your heart and it's a big heart and a real dilemma of a poem scribed here.
A moral dilemma and what it is to give a damn and be a human being capable of empathy towards others.
And whatever way the wind blows in everyone, evidently there's no ill wind or ill will in you, simply for writing it and giving a proverbial damn for doing so in the first place, drawing a reader's attention.šŸ‘

Hope all is pucker with you my friend and full honours and richly deserved.

Hey Shaun! Great to hear from you again and see you back on Cosmo. I'm glad you liked this one. You always seem to take interesting messages away from my poetry, which I'm always glad you share with me. I'm looking forward to catching up now that I have a morning spare. Thanks again for your kind comment, Sincerely, Max
