War in Heaven

War in Heaven

Death overtakes me
There is a war in heaven.
as the angels fight
Over this heart of mine.
Trying to keep
my head above water
But trying not to burn myself
At the same time.
I love you all
Why should I choose a side?
I'm talking through you
Yet you say I've gone to hide.
I'm sorry for the pain I caused
If I could get over this curse
My life wouldn't be on pause.
I made so bad decisions
And hurt the people I love
This battered ravenΒ
Was once a shining dove.
So how do I fix this?
Still searching for a sign
To fix the damage I've done
And get back in line.
