Water

Water

Ferocious rain leaps
Bounding up from the pavements
Flowing fast it sweeps
Into streams endless engravmentsΒ
Forced out into seas
Moving freely now, it slows
Fluidity with ease
Heavy rising tide, it grows.
Fluctuating heat
Makes a liquid into solid
Freezing capsules meet
As a sculpture becomes stolid
Fire makes ice bleed
secreting droplets of hue
Feeding oceans need
Into a body of deep blue

The fish of the sea

Agreed!! Enjoyed the theme and structure, Lorna. Strange... I feel as if I can come up with so many analogies for water. It truly is the essence of life. Enjoyed!
