WATT-EVER NEXT

The news all around us is full of doom and gloom 
However this tale will brighten up any room
Bombed out of her home and moved to Kent  
With it too a forty watt light bulb duly went 

A remarkable tale is the light bulb still works today 
Seventy six years is long time I have to say 
The lady's sister was born under it's light in 1943 
A family heirloom and treasure it's plain to see 

I'm sure that this light bulb has other stories to show  
Always look on the bright side of life is most apt you know 
So light bulb of seventy six years continue to shine 
Kept safely in a cupboard and treated like a shrine
