The Waves Of Tortuga Volume 1

The tides ahead are where the Kraken lies

The waves of Tortuga

We heard its monstrous battle cries

So far removed from all we knew

Our crew had struggled through the seas

A tempest upon us

We hoped to slay the beast with ease

How I survived I still don't know

The skies turned black as if now blind

The clouds had long vanished

The seas as troubled as my mind

Yet still our ship did plunder through

A man found battling with the waves

The waves of Tortuga

Was saved before he faced his grave

A lost soul clinging onto life

We helped him aboard, his eyes ablaze

They glared like the moonlight

The man had been alone for days

All hope had swiftly left his mind

He told us tales of the fearsome beast

Our hearts were all nervous

He spoke of comrades now deceased

The Kraken had its vicious way
