The Way You Fade

Dusk - Sunset
Lost in rose colored light
Or whirled to life by a dream
I gaze into the distance 
And the meadow of the sky above
Becomes this place
Of comings and goings 

And this is our forever
There is none other
There are no days that pass 
There are no nights that turn
We have no where to go
And eternity leads the way

With clouds yawning in the
Far away sky - forever quiet
Nothing is and nothing is not
As Black trees
Without leaves - reach up
To the sky

A hundred thousand stars
All falling into a single 
Gaze - beauty after beauty 
Bright in the darkness 
But you can love the
Way you fade
