We Danced

We Danced

Like birds flock together
Like a raven and a dove
Like forever and never
Like wisdom and love.

We circled each other
We laughed til we cried
We waved hello
Then we said goodbye.

Thank you for the dance
For the love that you shared
You set my soul ablaze
Just like Lumiere.

For a moment I realised
That magic was real
The world was a song
Love was all I could feel.

Then we broke our grasp
As the lights grew faint
There was no oil left
Now a sinner, once a saint.

I couldn't dance well on my own
While many wanted to take you home.
I spun around and fell to the floor
Like an eagle you began to soar.

But thank you for the dance
It was love at first glance.

"It is better to have loved and lost
Then to never have loved at all."

I wish I had a rainbow

On the beautiful clouds
I want to stay.
