Wee beastie

Wee beastie

When wakin up the stany road, up by cambie hoose
I came eye to eye with a Great beastie,Β
much bigger than a moose.

It's Poor lang shanks were shakin, like jeely in a bowl.
The beasties eyes were as big as orbs, and as black as coal.

It's lugs stuck oot at angles with antlers at top it's heid
Β When it moved its lanky shanks
It's ribs were clear to see, in need of a gid feed.

Β it sprung into the harvested rootsΒ
Then over a shaded burnΒ
Out of site it pranced away, And it would never return.
