Rabbie burns

Rabbie burns

Scotland's patron of music and rhymeĀ
He will always stand the test of timeĀ
He gave others inspirationĀ
And is known around the nation

Fae the way he wrote his words in rhymeĀ
To the songs he sung were so sublimeĀ
People remember auld Lang syne the bestĀ
But scots will remember all the restĀ

A great man and bard was Rabbie burnsĀ
And I think through the pages of his poems he returnsĀ
As i pour my whisky glass to the brimĀ
I eat my haggis neeps and tatties and toast to him
