We're Not Going There . . . . . . . .

We're Not Going There . . . . . . . .

Yes we are, as dark clouds loomed on the horizon,
the things we get ourselves into as we go along;
knuckles went white when we held hands on the plane,
just couldn't land, we'll never be the same again.

You may have minutes before time for you to 'go,'
do we rush around making love or eat a chicken sami?
we pretend to be philosophical, basically shit scared,
one time you wanted to die but you never really dared.

My lady friend was baling water from a small boat,
sharks were circling, suddenly survival looked remote;
Someone came back - they asked: 'What was it like?'
'Awful - they made me confess, said I didn't care less.'

'Who were 'they'? You look like sent back as a ghost.'
''They' transpired to be what you may just fear most.'
