“What an awkward buggger”?

“What an awkward buggger”?

He was such a picky eater
So very difficult to please
She dare not put veg on his plate
Not a carrot nor even peas

So when it came upon a Sunday dinner
Well he loved alot of meat,
No problem there!!
But ask for eating healthy vegetables
There was no way, this man didn’t care

His doting wife, she tried her utmost to disguise ‘green healthies’ on his plate
She would smother sprouts in gravy
Hoping he took a mouth-full & simply ate

But not a chance, he wasn’t daft
She’d watch him scrutinising with his beady eye
Maggie would constantly try her best
“What an awkward bugger”
She would cry

So there you have it!! She never won
Husband lived on meat & fish
Not even mashed potatoes
Or roasties on his boring, colourless dish

Trouble is Maggie adored her veggies
But she couldn’t calculate
Just enough to make one portion
So her flatulations were loud & great

Well the motto of this true tale
Is the fact that it served her hubby right
Wasn’t Maggies fault he hated vegetables
So he was stunk out every night?
