What happened to forever?

What happened to forever?

His voice was firm yet loving. His caressed my face my face as he wiped away my tears.  My body sits there frozen, as I replay in my mind what he said. The cold wind hit my back. It is a sad night filled with hurt.  My tears become more frequent, dripping down my face like raindrops. His hand reaches for mine. I squeeze it in anger. His words hurt but do no harm. He lets me into his broken world. Like mine it is full of pain. we are both loosing something important to us. Our worlds are falling apart. And with them we go. Feeling like we are loosing hope. He tries to reassure me, but I am already gone. the rest of the night I lay in bed. Wishing my whole life is just a coma I will, never wake up from.
