What is a Mother?

What is a Mother?

WeĀ imagine a mother as powerful and strong
Sometimes this couldn't be more wrong
A mother often hides her pain
Forever critical as she tries again
She'll fake a smile when she feels sad
To make sure her children don't feel as bad
She'll neglect herself so her children look smart
And in return they'll break her heart
When she feels low and feels unable
There'll still always be food on the table
But when her child hugs her tight
She knows that she will be alright
She's fiercly protective, emotional and wild
If anything threatens to hurt her childĀ
She isn't perfect but she'll always endeavourĀ
For a mother's love will last forever
