What Love Can Do

If you look at the sign

It's the world's largest wonderland

it's a city of stars

with the tattoo called Scarcity

If you look out the window

it's a Van Gogh sky

it's thick and heavy

it's just acrylics though

I'll light your candles 

among your designated spot

you can see through the black and blue

if you can peer through the swollen orbits

So, I saw a burglar today 

I politely asked him to steal everything

please take it all from my chest

in the event something real happens

I won't have to feel a thing.  

I'm so sorry I am angry about it

My eyes have welled with tears to the point 

they have overflowed from the past 

can a fireman stick his hose in my chest 

I need the fire out.

the time will come again that you'll will let him in

and realize that you gave yourself up again

and the next day came too soon and I had left.
