What was It Like .........?

What was It Like .........?

I lived in Africa where the stars were brighter,
with smiling sprites and magical air was lighter;
the young architect arrived wearing a blue mohair suit,
lived in a verandah house with upstairs playing the flute.

There were strange comparisons, the food was better,
although your imagination can run riot if you let her,
weather of course, away from misery of northern hemisphere,
there were traitors, said they'd never return but now they're here.

You didn't really need a holiday because you were already on it,
although time skipped by when you're having fun, bit by bit;
I climbed mountains, felt sorry for holidaymakers leaving heaven,
it's never the same when you have to think about coming again.

What would be my advice - go for it, everything out there
is yours, only one life mon ami, you can do it if you dare.
