What's In My Fridge

My fridge is filled with many things,
like food, and drinks, and dessert.
But my fridge is also filled with wings,
and feathers, and moss, and dirt.
There are many items that I put in there,
like rocks, and jems, and jewels.
I barely have any room to spare,
with it being stuffed up like some mules.
What’s in my fridge is mine to keep,
no one will dare to take any.
Even when I go to sleep,
the things in my fridge will stay plenty.
My fridge is filled with tears of joy,
of happiness, of hope, of love.
And if there is a little boy,
I’ll give him all of the above.
But my fridge is getting oh so large, 
so I give and give and give.
And when everyone runs and starts to charge,
I give to help them live.
My fridge is getting massive, 
filled with feelings of satisfaction and cheer.
But here comes that little boy, looking so passive,
so I egg him to come near.
He comes over,
his face filled with hesitation.
In his hand he has a four-leaf clover,
which he said he found at the train station.
I look down at the little boy,
and offer to him what’s in my fridge.
He nods yes as I tell him to enjoy,
and he takes it, but only a smidge.
He looks up at me,
with happiness releasing from his smile.
I knew just then that I had set him free,
for a long, long while.
