When all this is over

When all this is over
Through sunshine and rain,
Will we count our blessings?
With the time that remains
When all this is over
Will we know our true friends?
Not from 'likes' or 'emojis'
But the ones there 'til the end
When all this is over
Can we knock on their door?
And still talk to our neighbours
As we did once before
Perhaps a bit wiser
And yes, a little older
Where will you be
When all this is over?

Makes you wonder just what kind of world we will be left with John ?
Thank you Cherie x
Great awesome poetic questions we all need to ask ourselves, lessons a
learnt from the hard times the world has gone through. Hopefully like your last stanza inspires we ought to act wiser and less selfishly for once. The planet was fed up to the throat as many have guessed right. Kudos for a fab reminder poem.
plz pleez do read and comment on my newest poem too, plz don't forget to.
I don't know how I missed this one! Such a profound write! I wonder if things will change when this is all over... If, indeed, it will ever be over. It has certainly made us all aware at how easily we could be wiped off the face of the planet. From what I hear there are many different types of the virus now as it mutates causing people who had it once to catch it again. And dome strains are deadlier than others. That's what I heard this morning, anyway. A few months back I had a friend tell me that as far as she could see for herself (she works in a care home) that there was two different varieties of the virus. One was absolutely deadly the other not so... I hope to god the damn thing disappears. This thing is awful. Keep safe John. Awesome write x
