When darkness turns to light

It’s a shame,
That the life you are living,
It isn’t being lived at all.
You have been an empty shell, 
Filling a space in the darkness,
This darkness you call home.

It’s a shame,
That you feel so much to the point of breaking,
Or feel nothing at all because your lights been taken,
By the people that are even more unhappy than you,
So they find nothing but hate in their hearts to spew. 

It’s a shame,
That you allow someone else to decide,
How you go through this journey of life.
They are a careless soul that lurks in your past,
And are truly hidden and so hard to find.

It’s a shame,
That your shadow self was able to take control,
And cast such negative energy on your inner soul.
Because this inner soul is beautiful and filled with light,
It’s something that truly outshines, 
all of the bad that lives within you.

It’s a shame,
That you allow fear to overpower your desires,
And take the flames in your heart and put out the fire.
But wait, 
You need to act fast before you reach the end,
Because once you get there,
It’s even harder to turn away and begin again.

You need to embrace the darkness and look at it for what it is,
It’s an empty space that doesn’t need to be filled,
So quit trying to fill and feed such a thing,
Instead let it consume itself to the point of it exploding into a new day.

A day filled with so much light that sunglasses can’t even dull the rays,
So much light that the bad people no longer want to stay,
its blinding and with a stare will consume them whole,
For they were nothing but a void that needed something to fill,
 and they chose the darkness instead of the light.
