When Something Magical Begins

Before you, I was giving up hope
I'd been hurt enough and was ready to throw in the towel
but then you came along with your perfect timing
and suddenly I was like a child...
full of hope

Talking to you was like;
     reading your favourite book for the first time
     queueing outside a venue to see your favourite band
     that moment in the cinema when the movie is finally about to start

with new excitement, a never-ceasing smile, and a whole lot of butterflies,
          I allowed myself to hope 
               for something magical to begin
