1969

I close my eyes
Its your face I see
Staring right back at me
Knowing I have to say Goodbye
Is something hard to do
God has taken you to heaven
To protect you and keep you safe
My heart feels empty
It's something I've never felt
Something is missing
And that something is you

You will forever have a place
In my heart
May you now rest in eteternal peace.
I'll be thinking of you always.
Until the next time we shall meet.

A beautiful healing tribute to someone you deeply cared about.
"Until the next time we shall meet" It gives closure and yet opens the door to the beautiful reality of seeing our loved ones again! "It`s something I've never felt" This revealed to me, an innocent's first experience of sorrow and grief and yet you handled it with grace and wisdom. Beautifully done!
