Where Pushers Feed

Where Pushers Feed

streets are quiet now, as the daylight closed its eyes,

darkness is the devil’s friend, as the pushers soon arise.

in their web, the hopeless purchase drugs to calm their craving,

nothing matters anymore, their lives are not worth saving.

once they played in school yards, happy children growing fast,

mother’s little angels, but those days would never last.

life was tough, the lessons learned were never taught in school,

it was time to learn them fast, or you became somebody’s fool.

hunters searching ever more, to slowly break your spirit,

playing their favorite game of lies, and hoping you fall in it.

so it goes, and so it is, this daily game will never end,

time to watch your every move, is it foe or is it friend?,

the one you trust, the one you tell your hidden secrets to,

or are you in that web of lies, that in the end will capture you.

me, I’ve learned my lessons, I’ve learned them very fast,

and now I’m lying on the beach, my life has almost passed.

with no regrets, I look back at my ventures on this earth,

and when I meet my maker, I will thank him for my birth.

for all my friends were there, to help me in my time of need,

and never did I fall, into the web where pushers feed.
