Where The Hell Is The Car?

Where The Hell Is The Car?

Twenty-five years ago, in Massachusetts, Linda and I went to a shopping mall;
It was a little bit overcast that day, with predictions of a giant squall!
We were going to Filene’s Basement, to find me a wedding tux;
We hoped they’d have the right one, with a little bit of luck!
.
We found one of perfection, for what we thought was just a song;
It seemed to have my name on it, on my body it belonged!
After that we went to ”Legal Seafood”, to celebrate our great success;
My wedding attire matched perfectly, with my Linda’s lovely dress!
.
Just as we were finishing, we heard a thunder clap;
The storm was fast approaching, so our fingers we both snapped!
“Oh waiter, please bring our bill now, we really need to run”;
We didn’t want to get caught in a deluge, never too much fun!
.
But too late were we in leaving, the rain was pelting down;
I told Linda, “stay here underneath the canopy, I will bring the car around”!
I went running out to get it, but had forgotten where it was parked;
I was racing down the aisles, each rain pellet had me marked!
.
I looked back for some assistance, from my lovely bride-to-be;
But she was laughing so much harder, than ever did I see!
She was roaring so hysterically, as I got more and more total drenched;
I wasn’t happy, but she atoned later, my needs she aptly quenched!
.
.
                                 Soaked by the rain
                        My bride thought it so funny
                             Later made me smile

And just think, Larry. There were probably people from inside the mall going, "Just look at that crazy nut. He hasn't enough sense to get out of the rain."
Heh-heh-heh.

Cute poem,

Dear Dean,

Yes Dean.  I'm sure that Linda wasn't the only one roaring with laughter at my plight.  I was always "anti umbrellas" until that day, but now we carry one in the car.  Of course, it probably would not have helped anyway, because I think the wind would have blown it to smithereens.
Thanks for your hysterical comment.

Peace and Love,
