Which Way To Wonderland

Jill's Challenge

Which Way To Wonderland

Mother taught me to enjoy kippers and marzipan,
as we walked along the rows in Wonderland,
Alice asked if we would prefer yellow or green,
the tortoise taught us to know what she might mean.

We brushed past a lobster's antennae who suggested
a nice bottle of Chardonnay, and said: 'Have a nice day,'
the March Hare asked what we might like for lunch,
I settled for Nestle chocolate which came to the crunch.

The silly Hare missed us by a whisker as he downed
a pint of beer, said a prawn cocktail might be better,
door mouse scuttled back into his house pushing
a trolley of sweets, his daily ration of treats.

The Queen of Hearts made some tarts, all on a summer's
day, topped with a melange of meringue she bought on e-bay.
