Who knows me best?

Who knows me best?

Tell me, tell me: Is it true
You only want
What’s best for me?
How could this be
True when I see
That you are better off than me?

Tell, pray tell: Is it true
That I am still a child?
It’s been so long
It’s been a while
Since I’ve been labeled such,
A while

Please tell me, please: Is it true
That I am wrong
That you are right?
I know it’s not
And that is why
Tears stain my pillow
Late at night

So tell me, now: Is it true
That you know what's best for me
That I’m too young to see?
To plead my case
I’ll let my sobbing
Fight with you for me
