Widows Gates at Sea

My love has gone a sailing on to the sea it leads him to his destiny
A mission of goodwill for a discovery of the unknown the winds will guide him
Through the nights cold and the force of sea beneath him it keeps the treasure
Of our love so pure, I look out over the Italian lace iron widows gates above the balcony
Of the towers within our minds eyes we see the song comes through with soothing
Howls in the gloom of fog it be so that you hear my call so far from you it brings us near
My love, my captain of the ship that sails the waves and whales they save you from the dark
As I lean over the balcony, now I have waited ever so long it has been twenty years now
My mourning call it cries out loud and haunts the sea the mermaids tale be lost with thee
As I hold on to your handkerchief and weep one last time I say my goodbyes dear captain
Now I fall fast into the deep the widows gates left behind when and if you return they greet you
With all my love and blood I shed it lies deeper than any grave that be under the sands i fear for you
I am yours for eternity, let the sails take our hearts my soul be with you in the depths of wretched waters until we meet
Your widow will be at these gates looking over unto the eleven heavens of an eternal moonstruck sea
