PEARLY LIGHT
Through misty panes, a hush descends,
The world in frosted slumber spends.
A pearly light, the dawn day prepares,
And love's soft breath hangs in the air.
Thoughts drift like smoke on chimneys tall,
Of whispered words and lovers' thrall.
A name, a touch, a memory bright,
Warmth in the chill of a fading night.
Beyond the glass, the hillsides sleep,
A blanket white, the snowfall deep.
Each flake a promise, soft and pure,
Of love's renewal to endure.
The misty thoughts begin to gleam,
Like sunlight dancing on a stream.
A hope awakes, a silent vow,
For love, like dawn, will melt the snow.
