WILLIAMSJI MAVELI WRITES.....

Between

WILLIAMSJI MAVELI WRITES.....

BETWEEN
Between the hours of midnight,
I felt your love inclined over my shoulders,
watery as the pure lotus leaf,
Smooth-skinned, with lips made to bite,
blushing and too warm for white,
But perfect-colored without white or red.
And her lips opened amorously, and said—
I wish not what, saving one word—Delight.
And all her lips were nectar to my lips,
And all her body meadow to my eyes;
long arms stretched, fingers emerge like flames,
The trembling flanks, hair smelling of fragrance,
glittering eyelids expose the soul's desire.
