WILLIAMSJI MAVELI WRITES.....
The Fertile Soil

THE FERTILE SOILÂ
No gilded throne, no crown of jewels she wears,
Yet queen she is, of kingdom built on beauty,
Whose quiet strength beyond all price compares,
A constant presence breathing vital air.
She is the soil where tender seedlings start,
The sheltering bough against the biting gale,
A hidden spring refreshing weary heart,
A whispered hope that never seems to fail.
She trims her own light that her child may bloom,
Endures the frost, the dryness, and the blight,
Dispelling shadows gathered in the room,
And guiding hesitant steps towards the light.
If life's a structure, rising tall and grand,
Her silent love is the foundation's hand.
WILLIAMSJI MAVELIÂ
