MOON FACE
A gentle giant in the velvet nighttime,
The moon hangs high, a face of softest beam.
No sharp-edged features, harsh and clearly defined,
But contours blurred, a peaceful state of mind.
A "moon face," calm, with a knowing, ancient grace,
Observing silently, the hurried human race.
It watches lovers, whispers secrets low,
And bathes the sleeping world in silver glow.
A placid gaze, benevolent and deep,
While weary mortals dream, or wake and weep.
This moon face offers solace, still and vast,
A quiet promise that the night will last,
Until the dawn, with fingers, paints the east,
And from its silent vigil, it's released.
