Williamsji Maveli writes, Phantom Limb

PHANTOM LIMB
When I lose my own limbs,
You become my own
Phantom limb.
When I lose my own hands,
You become my own
Phantom hand.
I may still feel
it is there ahead,
I may still try to
raise my own head,
Before I realize that
I do not have a limb to walk
along my poetic pathways,
I do not have a hand to write
a beautiful poem for my fans
I just forget it is not there anymore,
Because it still feels
so real, so there
And then have to be forced
to realize all over again that
it has gone with the wind......
And you are not there anymore
Better Half of my own soul,
Best half of my body,
Bountiful heart of me,
My heart is so used to having you there
I reach and you are not there
You are my Phantom Limb
God has never blocked my heart
But, not the key of his gate
Heaven may be within my own reach,
I may start walking along the life beach
