WINDOW PAIN...

A hooting owl
Men on the prowl
A typical Saturday night
In my town
The roads glisten
From the rain tonight
As hazy reflections
Are cast by moonlight
Then anonymous screams
Wake me from sleep
And I have no choice
But to take a quick peep
Yawning...I rub my eyes..
I then push back the blinds
And I still hear her cries..
But this does not come to surprise
As these are the voices of my lullabies.
And I witness a scene
So horrific...
Obscene
As I look through the glass
I can't help but gasp
While I gaze...
Mesmerized...
At the red and blue haze.
Flickering flashes
Consuming my view
But I already knew....
Those anonymous screams
Foretold the future
Destroying her dreams

Susan,
I always visualizeĀ the scene and become a player of my poetry...It's funny though I never thought about it as a psychic experience but that is exactly where I am...!!
You have echoed those chills as I feel you have touched another nerve...(You have a gift for doing that :)
I love to be able to bring the reader into a place or scenario that neither have been but can venture together for the first time...Or maybe not???
Thank you for a truly insightful comment hun..
