Winter Runaway

Winter Runaway

As the snow falls I feel empty and lost

I am drifting like the white banks, I try to pick up my feet

A bitter sweet love that I once knew

Now buried in the snow I no longer feel

No love, no pain, just a teenage runaway

As the winter takes me to a train I will go

Where my heart will mend and the snow will melt

The spring will bring me to a better day

I will drift until I meet someone I can call my own

I'm just a past tense winter runaway

I run no more
