Wishes

I wish that the word why wasn't constantly stuck on my mind,
I wish that the girl I was meant to be I could find,
I wish that I could stop my life and press rewind,
I wish that I could erase every time I've ever cried,
I wish I could take back every single time I've lied.

I sit here and wish all these things only to remember that everything in life happens for a reason whether it's good or bad.
Even when I've been sad,
And every heart ache I've ever had.
Got to stop wishing I could take certain things back,
Because life doesn't Give you the chance to backtrack.
