Showing off her figure

Putting on her dress

For just one night only

Dressing to impress

Looking extra special

She wonders if for once

Again there’s no response

With several men

Music in her ears

Knocking back a drink or two

With friends she’d known for years

With each drink came courage

In each compliment a strength

Ignoring all the phone calls

The messages he sent
