WOLF

I dreamt that I was a wolf

lone but not in a lonely way,

in a patch of woods no one liked,

territorial patrol day by day.

Beneath my magic tree

I waited, Gathering scents ,

And storing the memory,

 Always wondering why??  

In the dream you came

Moving across the thicket to me,

You brushed me slight and could smell your smell,

perfume.

Very pleasantly  weak..

Shaking my head:

I woke quick there you were...

Seeing you….then I knew

 Why I  waited there for you.
