The Wolves Snow Path

Deep are the drifts from the mountains and hills they lay covering
The native lands of our ancestors, our paths the great hunter of purity
The wolves with their heavy coats find and hunt, live, within the forests
And hilltops of our wilderness, they like the native man driven to survive
In the deep snow the paw prints so deep, their eyes so keen they see the rabbit
Path with the markings under the evergreens it be, slowly prowling they approach
Only to invade and feast on the meat for the strength they gain for the journey
Of the wolf not be free, just like the red man and his land it still not his own
A path of survival as the breath of the howl and the head of the dog sing out
To the woodlands and snow topped mountains in the darkest of the moonlight
Let the winter keep you warm, with your family and your pack, teach your young
How to be free with the winds and the sounds of the nights hauntings they still play
With the mighty paw and the tongue of the hunger let it spread and grow for it belongs
In the winter of the bright white peaks and the valleys they breed and begin a new path
