She didn't 'mean to hurt you like she did
She was only doing what was done to her
Why would you love a woman so cruel
Why why why you stupid fool 
because you believe in forgiveness

I was thrown into a life of craziness and abuse
love was shown, but there were nights I felt used
all I wanted was to be loved, my innocense so alive
growing up was hard because I had to lie to get attention

remember that night on the railroad tracks
when I thought you were never coming back
and when you would dissapear for days and
I was horrified by the sound of the midnight train

She didn't 'mean to hurt you like she did
She was only doing what was done to her
Why would you love a woman so cruel
Why why why you stupid fool 
because you believe in forgiveness

There was so much that I never understood
she couldnt even love herself even if she could
we had to pay for all of her many mistakes
but I guess thats how our memories were made

We had the bad times and the good ones too
but the good ones were always harder to remember
I blamed so much on her and I still do
and there were times that I wished she would die

But I choose to love her before its too late
take her in my arms before she's taken to the grave
It's never too late to love someone
