Wonder Woman

Everybody looks for a hero
Or mocks the one that should be.
Yet what if the hero was a mother
Just trying to protect her baby?
A different world she comes from
Yet vultures gather round
Trapped in her own mind
But also trapped by what surrounds.
Trying her best to get by
Always an outsider to the world.
Yet she sacrifices her life daily
Trying her best to protect her world.
Her little baby boy
Who causes great emotional drain,
It's normal for babies to get upset
But doesn't help her emotional pain.
Her head is constantly spinning
All the world is relying on her
To heal the sick and feed the poor
But her mind is such a blur.
The cloudiness is endless
Only ignorance and sleep her rest.
So please either help or lay off her.
She's doing her best.
The doctors think its madness
But she's fighting a spiritual war,
Trying to be the hero
That the mockers are longing for.
She wants to tell them to stick it
But she loves and cares too much
If only she'd found out sooner
Then she wouldn't live as such.
