Woodland Fairy

Woodland Fairy

In a secluded part of the wood
through a shaft of bright light
sat on her toadstool a sweet fairy
full of sparkle, a wondrous sight

with delicate paper thin wings
illuminated by the sun
a mischievous glint in her eye
contemplating so much fun

for this little woodland fairy
sprinkles fairy dust all around
brightening up every dark corner
leaving sweet footprints on the ground.
